Quit Smoking Financial Benefits

One reason to stop smoking is the financial benefit you will get from it. Imagine how much more money you will have for the stuff you want to buy or need to buy. Smoking is an addiction so sometimes money is spent on cigarettes rather than on something you might need, like new shoes for instance.

If your a gamer on the computer and want that new release on a game that you been waiting for you might not have the money right away unless for just one week you don’t buy any cigarettes. There is a nice pair of sneakers that you want and instead you spend the money on smoking. If you quit smoking you would have been able to get them. The taxes on cigarettes are continually on the rise so you will spend more as time goes on then you do now.

Let’s figure out now what you spend on cigarettes rather on something that is harmful. Let’s say for instance you spend six dollars on cigarettes a day. Now we will multiply that by seven to find out what you spend in a week, so the answer is $42 a week.
There is fifty-two weeks in a year, so we will multiply the 42$ by the 52 weeks in a year, and the answer will be $2184 a year. Now if you smoked for five years that number will be $10,920. That is a down payment on a new house in just five years time. That should be enough to amaze you.
