When undue pressure is caused on the median nerve, a painful condition called Carpal Tunnel Syndrome or CTS is caused. In the wrists and hands a sensation that tingles is experienced and there is weakness and pain experienced by the person. Sensation of the hand and movement is controlled by the median nerve.
