An outbreak of cholera can spread quickly in areas having poor sanitation. The bacteria remain in the faeces of the people infected by Vibro cholera for up to a fortnight. This infection is often mild or without any symptoms but can be severe in some cases.
It is characterized by extreme watery diarrhea, vomiting, and cramps in legs. In this disease rapid loss of body fluid leads to dehydration and even sometimes shock.
